Sunset over baobab trees in Madagascar

Lorelei Dankenbrink

KEEPER
Myakka City, FL

Lorelei grew up surrounded by pets and visiting the Georgia Aquarium and Atlanta Zoo. This gave her a deep love of animals.

She graduated in December 2024 with an Associate’s in zoo technology from SantaFe College Teaching Zoo in Gainesville, Florida. While there, Lorelei participated in education, enrichment, and building opportunities to grow her skills.

“I learned I love to teach others and to build and fix things,” Lorelei said. She said she worked with a variety of animals, including red ruffed lemurs, and discovered her love of prosimians.

She is happy to be at LCF, furthering her passion.

“Working with this team to care for these lemurs has been one of my greatest joys in life,” Lorelei declared. “Every day, I know we are working toward something greater than ourselves.”
