Harisaina ‘Arnaud’ Joël

Community Health Manager
Sambava, Madagascar

Harisaina Joël “Arnaud” is originally from Antalaha, in northeastern Madagascar. Majoring in English Language, he completed his Bachelor’s Degree in 2017 at the University of Antsiranana at Antalaha (CURSA). He also taught English at local schools and guide associations and has assisted U.S. Peace Corps Volunteers. In 2017, he worked for Duke Lemur Center SAVA Conservation as a translator and as a research assistant for several PhD students from the University of Goettingen studying vanilla. Since the start of 2018, he has been working for the Lemur Conservation Foundation to expand the family planning program.
