Ny Tsididy Bitika (Bitika the Mouse Lemur)
|

Description:
This soft-cover children’s book is the charming sequel to our
Ako the Aye-Aye book. The same team who created the Ako book
designed and wrote Bitika. It was produced by Durrell Wildlife
Conservation Foundation. It too will be used for environmental
education in Madagascar. It features a story about a tiny young
mouse lemur named Bitika and Bitika's mother who live in western
Madagascar.

The enchanting text, in both English and Malagasy, is written by
Alison Jolly. The beautiful watercolor illustrations are by
Deborah Ross. The Malagasy text is by Hantanirina Rasamimanana.
This lovely story about the smallest of the lemurs is a
beautifully produced, charmingly written and magically
illustrated book, which will entertain, inform, and expand the
world of young people who might become inspired to learn more
about conservation and endangered species!
Cost: $12.00
Special Note: For every copy purchased, one is donated to the
children of Madagascar.
