Marie comes to LCF from California where she earned her BA in Organizational Leadership at the University of La Verne and her MA, MFT, in Psychology at Chapman University with an emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy specializing in children and adolescents as well as Crisis Response. Marie has worked as a Marriage and Family Therapist for over 10 years. Prior to that she worked as a Health Educator/Social Worker specializing in Adult Education in the Foster Care and Adoptions field in the area of Reactive Attachment Disorder and Trauma.
Marie and her husband Mark have raised 4 beautiful daughters and are new “empty nesters.” They have thoroughly enjoyed that part of their lives and are embarking on new adventures. Besides travel, Marie’s other passion is writing and with the beautiful serene scenery here at the reserve she plans to write her long awaited historical fiction novel. Marie along with her husband Mark have fallen in love with the lemurs here at LCF and they are dedicated to caring for the reserve and its lemurs as on-site tenants where new adventures await!
